Dropbox (Business)¶
Mount a Dropbox team account as a Windows drive — your member space and the team folders you have access to. In RaiDrive this is the Dropbox entry in the Business tab.
Before you begin¶
Prepare the following in advance:
- A Dropbox team account.
- If your team restricts third-party apps, ask a team admin to allow RaiDrive.
Help from Dropbox
Connect¶
- Click Add in the toolbar.
- Choose Business → Dropbox.
- Set the drive letter and name, then click Connect.
- Your browser opens — sign in with your team account and click Allow.
Settings¶
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Drive letter | Where the drive mounts in Windows | first available |
| Name | Label shown in Explorer | Dropbox |
| Read-only | Blocks writes to the mounted drive | off |
Behavior & limits¶
- Team folder permissions are enforced by Dropbox — read-only membership stays read-only on the drive.
- The same temporary-file rule as personal Dropbox applies: names starting
with
~$or.~, and~*.tmpnames, are not saved — see Dropbox: fix files not syncing.
Troubleshooting¶
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in rejected by team policy | Third-party apps restricted | Ask a team admin to approve RaiDrive in the admin console |
| A team folder is missing | You are not a member of it | Ask the folder owner to add you, then reconnect |
