Proxy¶
Route RaiDrive's storage traffic through a proxy server — for networks where direct internet access is blocked.
Supported proxy types¶

| None | Do not use a proxy setting (default) |
| HTTP | Standard HTTP proxy; storage traffic is tunneled through it (CONNECT) |
| SOCKS5 | SOCKS version 5 proxy |
Configure¶
- Open Settings → Proxy.
- Select the proxy type — HTTP or SOCKS5.
- Enter the server address, port, and — if the proxy requires sign-in — the username and password.
- Click Apply.
To stop using a proxy, select None (or click the Default button).
How drives use the proxy¶
After a proxy is configured, the Proxy checkbox in each drive's properties is enabled automatically for new connections, and a proxy badge appears on connected drives. You can turn the checkbox off per drive if a particular storage should connect directly — see Options → General.
Troubleshooting¶
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |

| Drives stop connecting after enabling the proxy | Wrong address/port, or the proxy blocks the storage's endpoints | Verify the proxy details; try None to confirm the proxy is the cause |
| Only some storages fail through the proxy | Proxy filters those domains | Allow the storage endpoints on the proxy, or disable Proxy for those drives |
