Box¶
Mount Box as a Windows drive.
Before you begin¶
Prepare the following in advance:
- A Box account (personal or enterprise). You can also sign in with the Google account linked to it.
- If your enterprise restricts third-party apps, ask your Box admin to allow RaiDrive.
Help from Box
Connect¶
- Click Add in the toolbar.
- Choose Business → Box.
- Set the drive letter and name, then click Connect.
- Your browser opens — sign in to Box and click Grant access to Box.

Behavior & limits¶
- Box collaboration permissions (Viewer, Editor, …) are enforced on the drive.
- Files deleted on the drive are moved to Box's Trash, where they can be restored.
- Box does not allow
/,\, non-printable ASCII characters, or the names.and..in file names — Box sanitizes such names by removing the disallowed characters — see Box: file limitations. - Box allows other characters Windows doesn't (
:,*,?, …) — an existing name using one shows up percent-encoded on the drive; see FAQ.
