IBM Cloud

Mount an IBM Cloud Object Storage bucket on Linux with the RaiDrive CLI. Connect with an access key pair and the endpoint address.

To get the account, keys or IDs this needs, see Before you begin in the IBM Cloud guide for the Windows app.

raidrivecli add ibm --bucket <bucket>

If you add storage with only the options shown above, you will be prompted to enter an Access Key ID, a Secret Access Key and the storage address (endpoint).

$ raidrivecli add ibm --bucket mybucket
Access Key ID: <key>
Secret Access Key: ********
address: <address>

Alternatively, a Access Key ID or Secret Access Key can be specified as options.

raidrivecli add ibm --bucket <bucket> --access-key-id <key>
raidrivecli add ibm --bucket <bucket> \
                    --access-key-id <key> \
                    --secret-access-key [secret]

Warning

Shell commands are logged in history. If possible, we recommend not specifying the --secret-access-key option with a value.

If a mount directory is not specified, it will be mounted to a directory such as /mnt/ibm under /mnt. To specify the mount directory, use the --mount-path option.

raidrivecli add ibm --bucket mybucket --mount-path /myservices/ibm

Additional options

--bucket <bucket> bucket
--endpoint <address> address (e.g. https://host.example.com)
--access-key-id <key> access key id
--secret-access-key [secret] secret access key
