File Lock

Restrict other users' change rights to the file being edited.

File Lock Addon is required.

File lock support programs

Some programs do not support File Lock.

Below are programs for which support has been confirmed.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • LibreOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress)
  • OpenOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress)
  • Hancom Office (Word)

This function may operate differently depending on a program that does not support file lock or the environment of use.

Connecting

1.Check File Lock and enter the server address, port number, user name and password. Click Connect button. newdrive

2.When the drive is connected, File Lock icon is created as shown below. list

Example of use

1.You can open and edit the file. editing

2.When another user opens the file which you are editing, the file cannot be edited or saved.

Notification popup

  • A notification popup appears only to users who have subscribed to the File Lock feature.

  • It depends on the functionality of application.
